
BIO
Philly Kang (He/Him) is a Asian (Taiwanese-American) actor, dancer, singer, and artist. Born in Canada and raised in Corona, California, Philly trained in a wide array of dance styles from Ballet to Hip Hop with special emphasis on Contemporary Dance, where he learned the power of storytelling through movement. A Multi-faceted artist; he finds joy in the task of learning in all facets of theatre: Singing, acting and dancing. He finds solace in books like "Respect for Acting" and "The Artist's way", and is a proud member of the Loaf Improv Comedy Troupe and Shakespeare Troupe.
Philly Kang is a rising senior at Shenandoah University, and has worked regionally in theaters such as at Stages! St. Louis and 3D Theatricals. When not performing, you can usually find him, sketching, flower arranging, climbing trees, hiking, perusing an antique store, or cooking new recipes. He's a proud Taiwanese American, and hopes to find more voices and representation within the Asian Community on Broadway, and is constantly trying to connect with his culture through cooking recipes and refining his Mandarin.
